Job Summary
The Associate 1 Underwriting is responsible for debiting new/renewal business and efficiently processing and managing policy documents issuance to facilitate timely collection of premiums and ensure customer satisfaction with the Company Products and Services Compliance with both Internal and External Procedures and Regulations

- Preparing accurate policy documents, Renewal endorsements, and other documents within the set turnaround period.
- Attending to direct clients, agents, and brokers' inquiries and liaising with other departments to resolve.
- Processing Credit Notes within the month they are due.
- Reconciling all certificates issued on DMVIC and ensuring they are debited within set timelines.
- Responding to correspondence in accordance with the mail handling procedures.
- Building personal skills by participating in in-house programmes (including e-learning), industry-related courses, and seminars as deemed necessary to expand product and system knowledge.
- Ensuring that all emails, Documents, and attachments worked on are filed and stored within the Electronic Data Management System (EDMS) within set timelines.
- Ensure Documents processed-New Businesses, Renewals, and Endorsements are Electronically dispatched within set TATs
EXPERIENCE, ACADEMIC & PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related discipline from a reputable university.
- Professional qualification(s) in insurance e.g. ACII, FCII, or equivalent considered as an added advantage.
- At least one (1) year experience in the underwriting/ insurance industry.
