JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Senior Associate, Portfolio Administrator, the key responsibility is assisting other portfolio administrators in handling of day-to-day fund administrations duties including but not limited taking instructions and preparing payment instructions, and processing transactions.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Updating and circulating of daily cashflow
  • Capturing daily transactions i.e. units allocation, units surrendering/withdrawals, switches/transfers, corporate actions, etc.
  • Daily unit price (NAV) and yield computation and circulation to trustees, publishers, staff members and investment advisors.
  • Daily expenses computation for all unit trust portfolios.
  • Updating daily performance schedule and circulation of the report.
  • Daily cash reconciliation and monthly script/asset reconciliation
  • Uploading direct debit instructions in online banking system and MPESA transfers to bank – Safaricom online portal.
  • Retaining third party relationships.
  • Identify, analysis, recording and processing of all corporate actions that affect any of the securities held by portfolios.
  • Process account on boarding – Clients and financial advisors.
  • Participating in both internal and external audits.
  • Participating in testing of unit trust administration system upgrades and enhancement.
  • Maintaining compliance with statutory requirements in order to avoid penalties and revocation of license by submitting investment returns to KRA and CMA.
  • Maintain client data records in their respective system, soft and physical files among other roles as allocated.

 

ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE
  • Bachelors and/or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related degree.
  • A professional qualification in accounting background is an added advantage (CPA or ACCA)
  • Technically proficient in Ms Word and Excel
