JOB SUMMARY
The Manager, Strategy and Business Delivery is responsible for delivering strategic projects and internal business delivery engagements across ICEA LION Group.
This role calls for a leader with a strong management consulting background, capable of taking on some of the Group’s most complex strategy and business delivery initiatives.
The successful candidate will collaborate with teammates and business stakeholders on major projects that generate meaningful insights and actionable recommendations for ICEA LION Group.
This role reports to the Group Head of Strategy and Business Delivery.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Business Delivery: 50%
- Deliver projects or major project workstreams related to ICEA LION’s Group business delivery function, from shaping delivery priorities to successful implementation.
- Convert existing projects and product development issues into solutions, implement the necessary changes, and lead projects and programs from beginning to end.
- Help in the delivery of strategic initiatives on time, on budget and in full.
- Prepare reports and recommendations for senior management to update on the status of respective projects and programs.
- Support the Project Delivery Council, an executive committee level council charged with delivering key strategic projects.
Strategy: 30%
- Structure and solve business problems, collaborating and coordinating with a range of internal stakeholders to make recommendations on a wide range of business issues.
- Develop rigorous, fact-based, quantitative analysis to support recommendations, ensuring strategic and financial soundness and alignment.
- Monitor the evolution of the Insurance, Asset Management and Trust and Administration services competitive landscape, new tech developments and regulatory environment.
- Work with the Group Head of Strategy to shape and inform the Group’s approach to inorganic growth and strategic partnerships instrumental in the delivery of the Group’s long-term strategy.
- Develop appropriate portfolio metrics and reporting to track performance across programs, engagements, and strategic business units.
- Communicate recommendations to senior management in a clear, concise and impactful way.
Collaboration: 20%
- Work closely with functional, regional and business teams on strategic projects, bringing timely and useful insight and analytical support.
- Assist different businesses and functions in advancing their key projects promptly and efficiently.
- Share insight on consumer needs with product development teams to influence product development strategies.
- Work with top management across the business to drive organizational change and commercial excellence.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related course, Actuarial or Finance A Master’s degree would be an added advantage.
- 5 years’ experience preferably in financial industry Professional qualifications; e.g., actuarial, accounting, finance, project management etc. will be considered.
